Our Client
Our client is a well-established real estate investment manager in Germany and Great Britain set up by highly experienced real estate professionals. The team has a strong European real estate investment track record across a variety of sectors and venture types.
Your Responsibilities
As an “Associate Asset Manager”, you will be an integral part of the Asset Management team in Berlin, taking ownership of defined workstreams across active real estate assets, value-add projects and newly onboarded assets in Germany. You will work closely with senior team members while taking clear responsibility for the coordination, analysis and delivery of asset management initiatives across business plan execution, leasing, capex, budgeting, reporting, service provider management and stakeholder coordination. Your areas of responsibility will be in detail:
- Take ownership of defined asset management workstreams across individual assets and projects, ensuring structured follow-up and high-quality delivery.
- Support implementation of asset-level business plans, value creation strategies and hold-period initiatives across existing and newly onboarded assets.
- Prepare and maintain business plan updates, annual operating and capex budgets, leasing forecasts, KPI tracking, forecast updates and decision materials.
- Support payment and distribution-related processes in coordination with finance, accounting and external service providers.
- Monitor asset performance, rental income, vacancies, operating costs, capex budgets, project timelines and key risks against the business plan.
- Coordinate leasing-related workstreams, including broker management, tenant communication, viewings, lease documentation, negotiation support and pipeline tracking.
- Coordinate capex, refurbishment, repositioning, repair and maintenance planning, as well as development- and planning-related topics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage selected sub-projects independently and contribute to asset positioning and value enhancement, including ESG, certification, sustainability and onboarding of new assets after acquisition.
Your Know-How
- Degree in real estate, finance, economics, business administration, engineering, architecture or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in real estate asset management, commercial property management, development management, project management, leasing or real estate advisory.
- Solid understanding of commercial real estate, including leasing, asset performance, budgets, operating costs, capex, tenant management and business plan execution.
- Experience with commercial leases, capex projects, refurbishment measures, maintenance planning or value-add assets advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage defined workstreams or sub-projects independently and to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and good commercial judgement combined with organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
